行为纯正的贫穷人，胜过乖谬愚妄的富足人。

心无知识的，乃为不善。脚步急快的难免犯罪。
【Pro19:3】 A man's own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the Lord .
人的愚昧，倾败他的道。他的心也抱怨耶和华。
【Pro19:4】 Wealth brings many friends, but a poor man's friend deserts him.
财物使朋友增多。但穷人朋友远离。
【Pro19:5】 A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free.
作假见证的，必不免受罚。吐出谎言的，终不能逃脱。
【Pro19:6】 Many curry favor with a ruler, and everyone is the friend of a man who gives gifts.
好施散的，有多人求他的恩情。爱送礼的，人都为他的朋友。
【Pro19:7】 A poor man is shunned by all his relatives- how much more do his friends avoid him! Though he pursues them with pleading, they are nowhere to be found.
贫穷人弟兄都恨他，何况他的朋友，更远离他。他用言语追随，他们却走了。
【Pro19:8】 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who cherishes understanding prospers.
得着智慧的，爱惜生命，保守聪明的，必得好处。
【Pro19:9】 A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will perish.
作假见证的，不免受罚。吐出谎言的，也必灭亡。

愚昧的儿子，是父亲的祸患。妻子的争吵，如雨连连滴漏。
【Pro19:14】 Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord .
房屋钱财。是祖宗所遗留的。惟有贤慧的妻，是耶和华所赐的。
【Pro19:15】 Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless man goes hungry.
懒惰使人沉睡。懈怠的人，必受饥饿。
【Pro19:16】 He who obeys instructions guards his life, but he who is contemptuous of his ways will die.
谨守诫命的，保全生命。轻忽己路的，必致死亡。
【Pro19:17】 He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord , and he will reward him for what he has done.
怜悯贫穷的，就是借给耶和华。他的善行，耶和华必偿还。
【Pro19:18】 Discipline your son, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death.
趁有指望，管教你的儿子。你的心不可任他死亡。
【Pro19:19】 A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty; if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.
暴怒的人，必受刑罚。你若救他，必须再救。
【Pro19:20】 Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise.
你要听劝教，受训诲，使你终久有智慧。
【Pro19:21】 Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord 's purpose that prevails.
人心多有计谋。惟有耶和华的筹算，才能立定。
【Pro19:22】 What a man desires is unfailing love ; better to be poor than a liar.
施行仁慈的，令人爱慕。穷人强如说谎言的。
【Pro19:23】 The fear of the Lord leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.
敬畏耶和华的，得着生命。他必恒久知足，不遭祸患。
【Pro19:24】 The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back to his mouth!
懒惰人放手在盘子里。就是向口撤回，他也不肯。
【Pro19:25】 Flog a mocker, and the simple will learn prudence; rebuke a discerning man, and he will gain knowledge.
鞭打亵慢人，愚蒙人必长见识。责备明哲人，他就明白知识。
【Pro19:26】 He who robs his father and drives out his mother is a son who brings shame and disgrace.
虐待父亲，撵出母亲的，是贻羞致辱之子。
【Pro19:27】 Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.
我儿，不可听了教训，而又偏离知识的言语。

匪徒作见证戏笑公平。恶人的口吞下罪孽。
【Pro19:29】 Penalties are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs of fools.
刑罚是为亵慢人预备的。鞭打是为愚昧人的背预备的。
